Table restoration

This top had a large split right down the middle....incedently half the top is maple half is pine..the underlying apron was carefully removed, the two halves where cut, handplaned and glued back together in this jig...

Is suprising how many pieces are are "married" a term we use to explain a piece with parts that are not original to the piece....

Massive slab of very old mahogany....may not look like much right now but its a spectacular board. Its very hard to find quality mahogany these days so this little secret find was worth the effort........This board is AT LEAST 50 years old!!!
